"Stigma" by
Climax is a live cinema project by Martin Bricelj Baraga, curator of the SONICA Festival and by Octex, one of the most profiled and internationally renown Slovenian electronic musicians.
Within her live concert,
Jasmine Guffond, also known from Minit, Organ Eye or as Jasmina Maschina (all on Staubgold) explores her corresponding interests in song, composition and free, improvised music.
"Thermal" by
Mario de Vega is an audiovisual performance in which several objects are modified with a microwave oven using custom hardware to sonify high frequency spectrum produced by the overheating of the device.
"Synthoscope" by
Servando Barreiro is an audiovisual performance that explores the relationship between the audio frequencies and their visual representation. Far from being a mere technical exploration of the medium, it has a very esthetical and rich, but at the same time minimalistic, visual element. The audio part is all generated live with a set of self-made (DIY) synthesizers, combined with other kind of 70’s audio technology. One of them being a "magnet-coil" that transforms the otherwise non-perceivable electromagnetic waves, that is radiated by the electronic gear around, into sound, demonstrating how almost everything that has batteries or is plugged into the electric current generates substantial electromagnetic fields.
Errorist is the musical alias of Miha Milek, a 30-year-old Slovenian biochemist-by-day and musician-by-night. He combines elements of dark ambient, improvisation, noise and lo-fi aesthetics with psychedelic melodies, glitchy beats and home-made percussion to produce something rather strange, perhaps even dissonant and ‘wrong’ to some ears but nevertheless essentially melodic.
Live and DJ sets by
Octex,
Comfort Fit and
DJ Storno will keep the night going on the dance floor with fine Slovenian beat-craftmanship.
MoTA – Museum of Transitory Art examines the idea of the museum (what is its role today and in the future?, the idea of transitoriness) in space, time, and art (what is art in relation to life?).
MoTA is a unique platform dedicated to the research and production of the transitory, of experimental and live art forms. It is a museum without physical space. Its programs are realized in different contexts, both in material and virtual space. All of MoTA’s activities reflect on the constant research processes within art as well as on its production and representation conditions. Every artist, researcher or institution is perceived and treated as an equal partner, all together aiming at over-passing social differences and exclusive modes of working.
