The Exhibition series is meant to give more ample depth to the CTM.12 theme – SPECTRAL – by exploring the phantom effects of our perception, the bad vibes of sonic weaponry, the material depths of the digital, processes of decay and disapperance, and the truthful or artificial mysteries that are embedded in technological memory storage.
The Exhibition series opens this Friday January 27th, at 19:00 at two venues:
1) The Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien will feature the exhibition Ghosts off the Shelf and the project The Crystal World Open Laboratory. This exhibit is joined by a collection of works by different international artists in the building's Project Space.
2) Over at Lockdok, Nik Nowak's Panzer, a sound system built from a chain dumper, gives an artistic representation of a sound weapon that echoes the aesthetics of military "stealth" technologies, the brute force of armored vehicles and the anarchic culture of mobile sound systems.

The majority of works within the Exhibition run January 28 - February 19, 2012, but check the detailed Exhibition schedule for information on each individual installation.
In anticipation, here's a photo journal of the setup of Nik Nowak's "Panzer". All photos by CTM's Andreas Gogol. Hope to see you at the Exhibition this Friday!
