From January 28 to February 3, 2013, the transmediale and CTM festivals will jointly offer one of the world's most pertinent, adventurous, and comprehensive reviews of the way new technologies and digital culture are shaping our lives.
transmediale 2013 BWPWAP: (the acronym for Back When Pluto Was A Planet), explores the simultaneous displacement and invention that takes place in cultural processes mediated by technology.
Entitled,
The Golden Age,
CTM.13 will reflect on the (over-)abundance of music in the modern world and its consequences for individuals, aesthetics, politics, and the economy.
Press professionals may apply for accreditation
until January 15, 2013, and are invited to apply for one of three types of press accreditation:
- transmediale 2013 Press Accreditation;
- CTM.13 Press Accreditation;
- dual transmediale 2013 + CTM.13 Press Accreditation.
Following approval, press professionals will receive confirmation emails with further details, including where and how to pick up your pass.
transmediale 2013 + CTM.13 reserve the right to evaluate the applications
individually for each festival and to deny requests. For instance, an application for Dual Press Accreditation may be changed to Accreditation for only one of the festivals, and applications to any of the three types of press accreditation may also be entirely denied.
Please note that due to the limited capacities of CTM.13 venues,
CTM Press Accreditations will be limited. For certain venues, CTM.13 Press Accreditation does not guarantee entry, so please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
The
transmediale 2013 + CTM.13 Press Accreditation Pass grants access to all transmediale 2013 and most CTM.13 events (exceptions include the CTM Opening Concert with Matmos at HAU 1 on Jan 28.1, Myrninerest at HAU 1 on 29.1, and more TBA). Journalists with a relevant focus / specific mandate to review these exceptions should contact the CTM press office beforehand (see below for contact info).
Both the CTM.13 and transmediale 2013 program catalogues will be provided with the
transmediale 2013 + CTM.13 Press Accreditation.
The administrative charge for accreditations is 15 EUR (incl. 7% VAT).
