The Trieste-Vladivostok CTM.03 Line
rxtxcd 003
This CD Compilation has been compiled and released by rx:tx on the occassion of CTM.03's special focus "Go East!". It features a very varied but thorough vector of electronic beats, landscapes, noises, contrails and sounds produced in the homes and studios that were build and grew behind what, before 1989, was the clear european ideological divide. The transonic connectivity between east and west of course existed from the 1950's on, using high frequency and very high frequency modulated electromagnetic waves, which were listened to, recorded, reflected and reprocessed, sometimes and somewhere in secret, sometimes and elsewhere openly and without any ideological or legal repercussions. Part of the generation that grew out of this decades old experience and knowledge is featured on this compilation, which is of course just a small orbital scan of the creativity, sonic base and network potential of a critical mass of new sound art and production capabilities, that span from Trieste to Vladivostok.
