// Paard van Troje, The Hague, the Netherlands
On an invitation of TodaysArt festival, WASTED returns to The Hague for another amazing night of over-indulgence on May 19th, at Paard van Troje.
After last years amazing WASTED 3, TodaysArt re-invited Pure and Donna Summer to organize another WASTED event in The Hague. Now it's no. 5 in the series, and continues to push the boundaries of hard, fast, performative music.
This time grind-noise-hybrid bands such as White Mice (Providence, US) and Bolz'n (Berlin, DE) bring the live music back to the electronic sphere with screams, giant bass cabinets, more spit than humanly possible and insane drumming. Breakcore forefathers Abelcain (Detroit, US) and Fanny (Winnepeg, CA) will give us a lesson in hard breaks, Xanopticon (Pitsburgh, US) and Electromeca (Rennes, FR) will show us what the outermost possibilities of rhythmic noise are, while Pisstank (North London, UK) brings a much needed dose of rave-core. As always, Dj's Pure and Donna Summer will host between sets, and keep the party jumping.
This edition of WASTED will also feature a new concept to such a large event, a second stage organized by open application. 15 emerging artists from 7 countries across the EU will play 20 minute sets throughout the evening – their inclusion and order based on a simple application and lottery. We don't think of this second stage as being lesser in any way. In fact, we think of it as giving a big look into the future of our music, and we're excited as fuck.
