Sascha Ring – one of the minds behind the Berlin label Shitkatapult, remixer of Gianna Nannini and a part of Moderat (Apparat and Modeselektor) – was a rising star in 2004. A John Peel session, 4 highly acclaimed albums on Shitkatapult, remixes for i.a. Hakan Libdo and Ellen Alien and several 12“ on Bpitch gave him the self-confidence to take off in new musical directions. He has now taken singers and instrumentalists on board and is demonstrating what progressive shredder-sounds in a Pop format can sound like. His performance at CTM.05 is the record release concert for his new album “Silizium” (Shitkatapult).
