Active as a musician, producer, label owner, journalist and DJ, Gudrun Gut is a networker in the best sense. Her years of commitment to unusual music began in the early eighties, in a movement described as “Die Genialen Dilettanten” (Ingenious Dilettantes). A member of Einstürzende Neubauten’s original line-up, Gut also fronted the legendary female art-rock band, Malaria before founding the Monika Enterprises label in the nineties to publish music by women exclusively. Her second terrain encompasses the Ocean Club – radio broadcasts, and a series of events organized in collaboration with Thomas Fehlmann.
