Rene van der Voort is the man behind Any Records, a shop in Den Haag that specialises in rare vinyl and anything released on the Whistling Along label. He’s been active in the music and art fields as an author, DJ, concert promoter and curator for more than 20 years, and writes for the magazines Ruta 66, Blue Navigator, Smilin’ Ears and Green Groceries. Van Voort is a member of the collective Wrijving En Glans, which regularly organises evenings of experimental music in Den Haag. As a freelance curator he developed exhibitions for the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam, which illuminate the interaction of music and art. His especial focus is the 60s and 70s and the Fluxus movement.
