Installation: Sub/Objective Shadows
Sub/Objective Shadows finds itself in the twilight zone of the virtual and real space. As director of this twilight zone, Merlijn van Eijk (NL, 1984) manipulates everyday phenomena, such as shadows, using projections. The work Sub/Objective Shadows also examines the differences and similarities between the virtual and real space. On the one hand it shows the malleability of the physical and on the other hand, the ease with which we ourselves as spectators fool, using some simple digital devices.
Sub/Objective Shadows was nominated for the René Coelho Award of the NIMk.
